The Quirky Parenting Project is a 6-week, facilitated online family program for parents and caregivers in families with autistic, ADHD or PDA members.

The program takes an environmental and family systems approach, focusing on how everyday family life is organised rather than attempting to change individuals. It supports families to reduce instructional load, recognise repeated patterns, and develop more workable, functional ways of living together. The work supports shifts in everyday communication, increasing softness and connection in interactions across the family system.

Across six weekly sessions, families are supported to:

Understand how small, manageable changes across a 24-hour period can ease the weight of everyday life in quirky, neurodivergent households
Notice recurring patterns and make thoughtful shifts where they matter most
Soften everyday language at home, moving away from “red-zone” communication and toward greater connection
Support fathers and partners so the whole family system feels steadier and lighter
Reduce repetition and instruction fatigue by changing how things are communicated
Help teens and older family members feel valued, capable, and genuinely included
Strengthen connection, cohesion, and a shared sense of “we” within the family
Leave with practical, family-specific strategies that are doable and supportive at home

The program includes two individual sessions with the facilitator that are specifically focused on your family. The initial session creates space to understand what your goals are.

What do you want to increase in your family - connection, peace, harmony, family fun, softness, understanding?

What do you want to decrease in your family - arguments, instructional language, misunderstandings, rejection, heaviness?

The concluding individual session offers time to reflect on changes you’ve noticed and consider next steps to continue positive, neurodivergent affirming change. These sessions are embedded within the group program.

The program is structured, professionally facilitated, and low-load. Participation is flexible, cameras are optional, and there is no expectation to disclose personal information beyond what feels appropriate. Sessions build sequentially, supporting gradual, sustainable change rather than quick fixes.
