    Event description

Hubcaps is the ambient, dream-pop project of Eora/Sydney producer and multi-instrumentalist Ella Mosley. For three years, the 22 year old poet has been hammering away at her debut record, made entirely in Garageband. It has flitted like a glint of light between the four corners of Mosley's laptop; now it is ready to chew through chrysalis and finally take wing. Her first single 'Singing & Songing' (Dinosaur City) was met eagerly, garnering substantial success through playlisting and radio rotation up and down the Australian coast (FBI, 2SER, 4ZZZ, 3RRR,).

Hubcaps is set to release her next single 'Beside(s) Me', a persistent track that swims along like a shark, only stopping briefly to then pick back up again, on July 20th via Dinosaur City records.

To send the song on it's maiden voyage, Mosley wholeheartedly requests your attendance at the Thornbury Bowling Club on the 29th of July to celebrate the power of beautiful music.

Joining her on the stage are:

    Romæo -

Like all great art-pop auteurs, romæo links her brand of pop music with a larger concept – with every off kilter hook comes a deeper meaning, making for a very rewarding listen. Idiosyncratic lyrics and experimental production have launched romæo to the forefront of the local scene. 2022’s ‘BEAUTY’ EP saw her write, produce and mix art-pop that explores nuanced insights into womanhood while weaving a variety of sounds and genres together. romæo is becoming known for her dramatic performance art live shows and was nominated in 2022's FBi SMAC awards for Next Big Thing. romæo will be performing live with cellist Emma Maguire.

    Griffin Ford -

Griffin Ford is a wordy songwright hailing from Eora/Sydney who has developed a strong but an humble cult following in his years crafting tight brainworms for the voice and guitar.

    Imogen Cygler -

Imogen Cygler is an emerging contemporary composer and performer. Imogen is classically trained in piano, violin and voice and contemporary composition. An Honours graduate in the Bachelor of Music (Interactive Composition) at the Victorian College of The Arts, she recently released her debut EP, ‘Wrocław’, a collection of songs about watching the world pass by in solitude. In addition to regular performances with her own ensemble, Imogen is a performer in groups such as: Jade Alice, Sunfruits and Pup Tentacle. She was the recipient of the Adolph Spivakovsky Scholarship for Composition of Music in 2020. In 2019 Imogen completed a commission for the Arts Centre Melbourne (5x5x5) and in 2020 for the University of Melbourne’s ‘Multivocal’ exhibition.
