Huddle Brunch at Higher Farm
Event description
Join us at Higher Farm as we welcome Australian regenerative farmer and author, Jade Miles. Jade and her family run Black Barn Farm, a heritage 'u-pick' apple and berry orchard which offers school programmes and workshops in what she terms ‘Futuresteading’ - Living like tomorrow matters. Jade has recently released a new book, Huddle - creating a tomorrow of togetherness, where she examines the need for us to rewrite our story to become one of connection to both human and natural world wonders. Where she explores ways for us to reignite rituals, rebuild community and return to a way of being that our bodies know to be true. All of this will be shared in the main part of the gathering.
Q and A is invited throughout and Jade will be signing copies of her book afterwards. While the event is free, we encourage you to take your own 'Huddle' handbook home or consider gifting one.
The Higher Farm caff will be open and well stocked with local pastries, fresh tea and coffee and we will be nestled in the courtyard ready for conversation no matter the weather (Bring a swimming costume for a wild dip afterwards).
Even if its wet, the event will still go ahead but please bring an added layer and gumboots just in case.
