Hugh Stretton Oration 2025
Event description
The Stretton Institute presents the Hugh Stretton Oration 2025
Join us for our annual Hugh Stretton Oration established in 2021 in honour of the late Emeritus Professor Hugh Stretton AC.
Our guest speaker and graduate of The University of Adelaide, Adam Liaw, will explore the topic of Growing an Appetite for Good Food Policy, discussing how we as a society need to start to take the question of "good food" a little more seriously. At present, we actively regulate everything around food - trade, health & safety, competition, environment, labelling etc. - but have little appetite for specifically tackling the way we eat. Do we need a closer look at a structure of food policy that starts with food rather than ends with it?
