Event description
Humanities & Community: Mysticism (The Kabbalah)
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Dates: May 2, May 9, May 16
Instructor: Rabbi Zvi Drizen
“Mysticism” is the search for oneness with all of Being. In monotheistic religious traditions, the radical unity of the mystic is also a radical union with divinity. Linguistically, “mysticism” is related to a Greek word that means to conceal. In practice, the mystical experience is a hidden or esoteric one.
This course will focus on the Kabbalah – a Jewish mystical tradition. Our instructor is the charismatic Rabbi Zvi Drizen, founder and director of The Intown Chabad, which works to develop Jewish life for millennials in Dallas and all over the world.
