Event description

Join us for a reception and screening of Humanize: Newcomers. The second season of this series focuses on the issue of migration. Hear firsthand stories from recent newcomers to Colorado, listen to perspectives from long-time residents, and understand the experiences of those working in social services and resources. Their diverse and emotional narratives weave a rich tapestry of what it means to be a newcomer.

In these critically acclaimed PBS12 original shorts, we shed the stereotypes of what they do and how our society often defines them, in favor of who they are as humans. Their lived experience is unique, universal, and always a story that can inspire us. Peel back the stereotypes, look beneath dividing lines, and discover what truly humanizes us all.

6:00 - 6:30 | Reception with small bites, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages

6:35 - 7:05 | Screening of Humanize: Newcomers

7:10 - 7:40 | Panel discussion and conversation

This event is made possible in part by Rose Community Foundation.
