For All Humankind with Ku-ring-gai Council
Description
For All Humankind is a four-week course exploring some of life’s most enduring questions: What makes a life genuinely good? What does it mean to be a good person? What makes a society fair and just? And how do the choices we make contribute to the kind of world we want to live in?
Drawing on ancient Jewish teachings and traditions, the course explores universal values and ideas that have shaped thinking about human dignity, morality, responsibility, family, education and our obligations to one another.
Across four engaging sessions, participants will be invited to reflect on the values that guide our lives, consider how those values are formed and shared, and explore how individuals and communities can contribute to a more respectful, connected and peaceful society.
For All Humankind is open to people of all faiths, cultures and backgrounds. No previous knowledge of Judaism is required.
Presented by Chabad House and supported by Ku-ring-gai Council as part of Council’s Social Cohesion initiative, the course provides an opportunity for thoughtful discussion, intercultural understanding and connection around the values we share.
