Dating apps are THE WORST, and we know you’ve had some experience with how frustrating they can be. We’re Humpday, the dating app for people who hate dating apps - six days a week. 

Join us on December 6th for a fun, flirty and ice cream-filled evening of connection at retro northside ice creamery Kenny Lover, so your dating game can go from URL to IRL. 

Humpday is a new dating app that only works one day a week - Wednesday - and focuses on (literally) getting you off the apps and out connecting IRL. Off the back of the success of our first events, we’re looking forward to hosting a group of like-minded people for a fun night filled with Melbourne’s most unique ice cream tasting, conversation starters and a DJ so you can have your own boogie night  meet cute.

What can you expect from this event? 

Come with a mate, date or solo. 

Drinks will be flowing on the day. Dating is best paired with snacks, so Kenny Lover is serving up some of their wackiest flavours of the sweet, cold stuff, and hot chips too…”because why not?”

The moody 70s vibes create a unique space for singles to connect. Nervous to fly solo? Don’t be. Our hosts are trained to facilitate connection throughout the space. However, don’t shy away from bringing a mate (single or not) if that’s more comfortable for you. 

Previous attendees enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and chance to connect with other singles, coming away with a date or a new friend. 

We want to celebrate being single. You will also have the chance to win some door prizes.

• We have LGTBQIA+ events in the pipeline, however this event caters to our hetero community.

Who is Humpday? 

Humpday is the dating app for people who hate dating apps. Designed to get users meeting their match, IRL, Humpday has no swiping and is only active 24 hours a week - on Wednesday. 

Who is Kenny Lover? 

Very good ice cream. Kenny Lover is a chef's approach to ice cream, without the fuss, churned fresh on site in Thornbury. A retro Australiana ice-creamery serving beautiful ice-creams and sorbets, using top quality local and native Australian ingredients.

• Making others feel uncomfortable, frightened or threatened through (but not limited to) bullying, harassment, belittling, intimidating, blackmail, emotional abuse, repeated unwanted conduct, encouraging violence 
• Excessive alcohol consumption - please don’t turn up to this event drunk. We’re serious about authentic connection so if you are noticeably drunk, you will be turned away without refund 
• Use of illicit drugs - just say no 
• Physical or sexual violence, sexual harassment, sharing unwanted sexually explicit content or images, in-person indecent exposure
• Unsolicited commercial or promotional purposes
• Distributing or facilitating the purchase of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes
• Hate based discrimination on identity including race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion
