We're Humpday, and we want you to meet new people, in real life. 

We're teaming up with Recess Padel Club, Melbourne's newest indoor Padel Club, for the ultimate singles night with a competitive twist. On June 10, at Melbourne's first lifestyle Padel Club, we're inviting you to pick up a racquet and meet new people over some *competition*.

What can you expect from this event? 

• Wednesday June 10

  • Doors from 7pm, court kick off at 7:30pm 

• 10-minute round robin games (doubles) - we'll provide court allocations and mix up the pairs throughout the night to maximise mingling

• Free drink on arrival - alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available

• Your ticket includes court and equipment hire 

• Humpday hosts to facilitate conversation and help play matchmaker
  

Anything else? 

• This event is for singles and their wingpeople - come solo or bring a friend 🤠

• The typical age at our events are 20s and 30s 

• Equal gender ticket sales to ensure a balanced crowd

• You don't need to know how to play! We'll run through the rules (it's like tennis!) 

Humpday is a new dating app that only works one day a week - Wednesday - and focuses on (literally) getting you off the apps and out connecting IRL. We think being single is FUN and should be celebrated 💥

Who is Humpday? 

Humpday is Australia's newest dating app. Designed to get users meeting their match, IRL, Humpday has no swiping and is only active 24 hours a week - on Wednesday. 

Who is Recess Padel Club?

Recess is Melbourne's first lifestyle padel club. A place where the post-game debrief matters more than the match itself. Premium courts, recovery facilities, and coaching for every level, wrapped in a community that knows how to have a good time.

Can I come alone? 

Absolutely! Most people come to Humpday events solo, and are so glad they do. Humpday hosts help you meet new people over the night, so you won't be left to your own devices. 

Do I need to download the app? 

No but you do get a discount on event tickets if you do. and you'll get to meet people online who you might not get a chance to meet in the room. 

Humpday event policy 

Humpday is purpose built to be a safe space for our community to form meaningful, in real life connections. By agreeing to this form and attending the event you are committing to be a “good person”. We want this event to be fun, inclusive and safe for everyone.

Humpday events are created with the intention of providing a fun and safe space for authentic IRL connection. We expect you to behave with kindness and respect, and lead with empathy, whilst engaging in conversation. Humpday has zero tolerance to the following anti-social behaviour:

• Making others feel uncomfortable, frightened or threatened through (but not limited to) bullying, harassment, belittling, intimidating, blackmail, emotional abuse, repeated unwanted conduct, encouraging violence 

• Excessive alcohol consumption - please don’t turn up to this event drunk. We’re serious about authentic connection so if you are noticeably drunk, you will be turned away without refund 

• Use of illicit drugs - just say no 

• Physical or sexual violence, sexual harassment, sharing unwanted sexually explicit content or images, in-person indecent exposure

• Unsolicited commercial or promotional purposes

• Distributing or facilitating the purchase of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes

• Hate based discrimination on identity including race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion

Notice of Filming and Photography 

Attendees consent to their filming and photography as participants to the event. By attending this event you agree to being filmed or photographed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes. Showcasing the event and vibes in action is important for us to spread the word. If you do not wish for your image to be shown on social media platforms, please make yourself known on the day - we want everyone to feel comfortable.

1. Assumption of Risk: You understand that physical activity involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury. You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injuries, damages, or losses you may incur as a result of participating in this event.

2. Medical Clearance: You confirm that you are in good physical health and have no medical condition that would prevent you from safely participating in physical activity. If unsure, you agree to consult a medical professional before joining.

3. Personal Responsibility: You agree to participate at your own pace and listen to your body at all times. Humpday, its partners, and instructors are not liable for any health issues or injuries that may occur during or after the event.

4. Release of Liability: You release and hold harmless Humpday, event organisers, instructors, venue operators, and associated partners from any and all claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising from participation in this event.
