Join the region’s business and thought leaders for an exclusive black-tie dinner featuring Dr Doug Hilton AO, CEO of CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency.

From renewables to the role of nuclear, CSIRO’s research is a driving force behind critical policy debates. With energy set to be a defining issue in the upcoming federal election, these insights have never been more relevant.

Here in the Hunter, we are home to some of Australia’s most significant research institutions, including CSIRO, NIER, HMRI, and the University of Newcastle. Together, they form a powerhouse of nationally and internationally recognised expertise—helping to position our region at the forefront of science, technology, and innovation.

Dr Hilton will share CSIRO’s priorities in research and its role in shaping Australia’s competitive advantage. He will also explore the importance of academia-government-industry collaboration in navigating the complex realities of energy transition and emerging opportunities.

Connect with industry peers, gain fresh perspectives, and be part of the conversation that will help shape the Hunter’s future.
