Hunter Wetlands After Dark July 2025
Event description
Spot our night time wildlife on this special torchlight tour!
When the sun goes down, many Aussie animals wake up and the trees, creeks and ponds come to life. From the common brush-tailed and ring-tailed possums to bandicoots, tiny bats, owls, gliders, insects, arachnoids and amphibians, the Hunter Wetlands is thriving after dark with nocturnal animals who use the twilight and darkness to forage for food and interact.
Experienced guide, John, will be leading us through the wetlands woodlands and reeds in search of our nocturnal residents. On the way, he will share fascinating facts and insights about their behaviour and answer your questions.
This is a rare opportunity to visit the wetlands after dark and encounter animals not visible during the day.
This tour is suitable for children 5 years and older accompanied by an adult.
