With the rapidly approaching implementation of AUKUS in Australia, it is important that Defence Industry SME’s can pro-actively collaborate to develop robust Supply Chains for key stakeholders involved in the Program.

We are excited to announce that the Henderson Alliance has formed a collaborative partnership with a key AUKUS stakeholder, Huntington Ingalls Industries.

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is one of the largest shipbuilders in the United States of America, employing over 43,000 people. Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS), a division of HII, is the USA’s sole designer, builder and refueler of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and one of only two shipyards capable of designing and building nuclear-powered submarines, leveraging their unique expertise in nuclear propulsion, naval design and manufacturing. NNS provides fleet services for our ships worldwide.

Headquartered in Canberra, HII Australia is leveraging HII’s proven track record in construction of nuclear-powered submarines, advanced technologies, and infrastructure development including workforce and supply chain, in support of the Australia, United Kingdom, and United States (AUKUS) security partnership.

On Friday 10th November 2023, the Henderson Alliance in partnership with the City of Cockburn, Defence West and ODIS, will be hosting a senior delegation from HII here in Perth with the intention to introduce their capability to the WA Defence Industry. We would encourage interested Industry partners to attend this event to hear from key personnel from HII, and their plans to engage with WA Defence Industry to develop a collaborative Supply Chain base here in Western Australia.

The event is FREE to attend, and will include an address from Jennifer Boykin - Executive Vice President HII / President Newport News Shipbuilding and a panel discussion.
