Bringing together local museums and history groups in Southern Tasmania
EXHIBITION Tuesday 7th - Sunday 12th October
TEN museums & history groups in ONE room
Kingborough Hub, 7 Goshawk Way, Kingston
Hours: 10am - 4pm
CONFERENCE on SATURDAY 11 OCTOBER
with 6 speakers, from 9.30am - 3.30pm
Speakers will include:
* Andrew Tomes, who will talk about using eHive to manage museum collections.
* Warwick Lee will talk about the Tasmanian parliamentary papers
1856-1901 which have recently been digitised in a large project.
* Dr. Imogen Wegman will speak about the Family History programme at UTAS.
* Fiona Cameron from Volunteering Tasmania will be talking on the benefits of being a member of VT.
* Lara Colrain - Curator from the Channel Museum will speak on preserving artefacts, and author and historian Richie Woolley will also speak.
The exhibition is gold coin donation, and children free. Please register if you are coming along to the conference.
