HWY NOISE: Anisa Nandaula & The Mamas Boys

An evening of story-telling and slick beats from some of Brisbane’s most exciting emerging voices.

Anisa Nandaula, poet and performance maker, will take to the Roundhouse stage to road-test a new work in development through La Boite’s 3-month HWY generator opportunity – a detailed examination of past relationships, future prospects, and what it means to be a 20-something woman of colour looking for love in suburban Brisbane.

And the Mamas Boys Collective are back for one night only, but they’re definitely here to take your girl/boy/non-binary lover … with smooth moves, sweet beats, and an all-round good time. Join the collective at La Boite for an intimate story-telling experience that traverses new music, poetry, conversation, and a lot of the funny bits in-between.
