Hypothetical: Australia Under Attack 2022
Event description
Brought to you by
Join us for a signature AustCyber event - our Cyber Hypothetical - where we’ll step through all the facets of three likely cyber attacks modeled in the 2022 Sector Competitiveness Plan and explore the impacts.
The hypothetical:
In the closing days of 2022, we have been living through a sustained phishing attack that has successfully infected our cloud systems, slowing everyone's digital connectivity down. Then a Log4j exploit lands in the digital realm, disrupting and shutting down the operations of many organisations due to vulnerable legacy systems. Finally, seeing an opportunity, a Foreign State with substantial offensive cyber capabilities has targeted our electricity grid, leading to intermittent power supply and getting worse.
- What would it be like to live through a worst-case scenario cyber-attack in our hyper- connected digital world?
- Do we have enough strength and resilience in our cyber capabilities to help businesses?
- Is our Government ready to combat a crippling national cyber attack?
Join us as we dive into our hypothetical story and our lineup of industry-leading guests tackling the twists and turns. This session will also be recorded live and released as an episode of AustCyber’s popular podcast, ‘OzCyber Unlocked’.
