Description

I’m fine. Just busy.

How many times have you said that lately?

And the thing is, you probably are fine.

You’re working, making decisions, meeting deadlines, looking after people and doing all the things that need doing. From the outside, there may be absolutely nothing wrong.

But I wonder what’s going on underneath all of that.

Does your brain ever really switch off? Are you always thinking about what needs to happen next, what you’ve forgotten, who needs something from you or what still hasn’t been done?

And have you become so used to feeling tired, mentally stretched and constantly “on” that somewhere along the way it’s simply become normal?

That’s the conversation I’d like to have with you.

I’m opening up a free 45-minute online conversation for women who are used to getting on with things, looking after what needs to be looked after and carrying more than most people probably realise.

I’m not going to give you another list of things you should be doing or tell you how to manage your time better. You’re probably already very good at getting things done.

I’m much more interested in what’s happening underneath all the doing.

Because perhaps you don’t actually want a different life.

You may love your family, be proud of your career and genuinely grateful for what you have, but perhaps there’s also a part of you quietly wondering why the life you’ve worked so hard to build doesn’t always feel quite the way you thought it would.

And that can be a difficult thing to admit, can’t it?

Because almost immediately another voice appears.

I should be grateful. Other people have it much harder. I’ve got nothing to complain about.

Maybe you don’t.

But I’m not really interested in what you have to complain about. I’m interested in how you are.

Where are you in the life you’ve worked so hard to build?

What have you been putting off until things settle down?

What are you carrying that perhaps nobody else even knows you’re carrying?

And when was the last time you had enough space to actually hear yourself think?

That’s what I’d like to create for you in these 45 minutes.

There’ll be some conversation and some time for you to reflect on what’s taking up space in your head and what might be sitting underneath “I’m fine, I’m just busy.” I’ll also give you something practical you can take away and use when life inevitably gets busy again.

And I want to explore a question I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.

Instead of asking:

“Can I keep doing this?”

Perhaps the better question is:

“Does it have to keep feeling this way?”

Because if you’re anything like many of the women I work with, you probably can keep doing it.

That’s never really been the problem.

A small glimpse into UNMASKED™

This conversation will also give you a small glimpse into the thinking behind UNMASKED™, the intimate experience I’ve created for women in Blackwood on 22 October.

But you absolutely do not need to be considering UNMASKED™ to join me.

Perhaps you’ve been reading some of my posts lately and quietly thinking, “She’s talking about me.”

Or perhaps you’d simply like 45 minutes where nobody needs an answer, a decision or something done by you.

Either is reason enough to come.

You don’t need to arrive with anything worked out, and you won’t be asked to share anything you don’t want to. You’re welcome to participate in the conversation or simply listen, and your camera can be on or off.

Just bring yourself and, if you’d like, something to write with.

If “I’m fine, I’m just busy” has been your answer for longer than you care to admit, perhaps this is 45 minutes worth giving yourself.
