I’m Online, Now What? How to Build Your Universe of Readers

You’ve got an author website or a social media presence: now what? In this workshop, you will learn how to build an engaged audience of readers the way a business does. Email marketing is still the most effective way to a reader’s undivided attention, and the only way to build an audience that you control (rather than the algorithm). It will take you through the steps of choosing an author newsletter platform, crafting an author offer that appeals to your ideal reader, and developing strategies to get in front of readers who will love what you write.

Jemma Pollari is a Finnish-Australian speculative fiction author and Chair of the Queensland Writers Centre. She holds a Master of Education and is co-author of Code Bravo, with Michael J Milford. When not writing, Jemma builds websites to help authors find their readers, takes far too many photos, plays ukelele, deconstructs Lego, and occasionally finds time to read.
