“You talked to the stars in the sky, you went skinny dipping at night… The only thing you didn’t do was go to Tiananmen Square and join the protest.”
Hong Kong. 1999. Jing is travelling from Taiwan to meet More to discuss a merger between their two companies. Negotiations are about to begin when the pair meet two young strangers that only they can see… Threads of a forgotten past are unravelled as these former lovers are confronted with truths that cannot be undone, and a future that is yet to be remembered.
Written by renowned Taiwanese playwright and director Stan Lai 賴聲川老師 "the best Chinese language playwright and director in the world" (BBC), Wit Incorporated are thrilled to be the first theatre company to produce an English translation and to bring this complex and beautiful story to Australian audiences.
