‘I Shall Be Released’ - A tribute to Bob Dylan will feature in Nambucca for the very first time this year on Friday, May 24th. The evening will showcase some of the finest NSW & QLD singer-songwriters, all paying tribute to the most prolific and respected songwriter of our time.
After sell-out shows in South East QLD, organiser and Sunshine Coast-based troubadour, Pat Tierney brings together another eclectic and stellar lineup of artists that will each play their takes on Dylan classics spanning over 60 years.
‘The events have been a huge success, and we wanted to bring the tradition down South to audiences in NSW as well. Seeing the widespread of ages and people over the years has always been a huge buzz and shows just how deep some of the songs go. I’ve been listening to Bob since the day I can remember and I know his music means a lot to so many people. For me, he’s probably on top of the mountain as one of the greatest-ever songwriters.
I put the very first show together in 2012 and it’s kind of grown from there. It’s just about coming together to celebrate amazing songs and wonderful, independent artists from the local scene, as well as Bob of course.’
