IBM & Coastal Twist Arts & Culture festival present: IBM Design Thinking & Innovation workshop experience

When innovators and creators collide:


Innovating, Creating, Challenging status Quo or Problem Solving - Design Thinking is a people-centred approach to innovation.

If you are wanting to kick of your idea or improve your existing organisation or Business, uncover new opportunities or just shift outdated models of thinking into a "design mindset" you will finds its possible for everyone to achieve a more adaptable and efficient business or organisation!

Expect:  To join IBMers in a 3 hour session with IBMers practicing Design Thinking to tackle Sustainability challenges on the Central Coast.’

Experience 
a day in the life of business, design and technology. 

Participants will walk away with baseline Enterprise Design Thinking skills: how to collaborate, synthesise, design, research, prototype, and tell a meaningful story to pitch and/or solve business challenges

Experience will include:

Sustainability themes - Use United Nations defined Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for groups to choose their focus:

Flow:

  1. 1st hour context setting and hands-on introduction to IBM, Design Thinking, Agile practices, and innovation. Share SDG themes and form groups + assign roles
  2. 90mins of Design Thinking workshop - IBMers will lead, guiding participants throughout
  3. LUNCH ( You can grab a yummy everlades lunch and drinks in the break)
  4. 30mins of Playbacks. Each group has the opportunity to present their ideas in a safe, open environment.
    (this breakdown of the 3hr workshop flow does not need to be shared in marketing materials and will be addressed as part of the workshop experience)

Outcome: 

You will walk away with baseline Enterprise Design Thinking skills: how to collaborate, synthesise, design, research, prototype, and tell a meaningful story to pitch and/or solve business challenges
