IBT is back!

Our two-day conference for Business Studies teachers is back for 2023.

Join us in Wellington on May 11–12th to be inspired, upskilled and to network and collaborate with other Business Studies teachers.

Hosted by our wonderful MC, Tim McCready, IBT brings a fantastic lineup of business speakers and workshops that will develop your understanding of business and help you to prepare for the upcoming NCEA changes.

Title: The Future of Accounting – developing our next generation of business advisors

Description:

One of our partners, Chartered Accountants ANZ, will be hosting a breakfast session to bring awareness on the future of accounting. In this session, you can expect to learn more about the common misperceptions of accounting as well as the role and key capabilities of the ‘accountant of the future’. Deepen your understanding of how the profession will equip students with the skills, mindset and behaviours to operate effectively in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This session will be facilitated by Lydia Tsen CA – New Zealand Government Affairs Leader. A useful high school toolkit and other financial literacy resources will be available at the session, with all attendees also receiving a complementary course on Finance for Non-finance Professionals.
