Join us in Melbourne on Monday, 10 November 2025, for the 11th International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC) - Climate-Smart Agriculture and Urban Futures: Building ASEAN Resilience through Innovation & Policy 

ICCC 2025 will convene leading researchers, government representatives and industry partners from ASEAN and Australia to advance discussion, collaboration and knowledge exchange on climate resilience, urban agriculture and food security. Hosted by RMIT University, in collaboration with Universitas Sebelas Maret, the conference will strengthen partnerships, showcase innovative research and policy, and spark impactful projects that support a more resilient future for our region.

When: Monday 10 November 2025, 10am - 5pm AEDT (registrations from 9.30am).

Where: RMIT University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia 3000 (specific venue TBA) OR Online

Who: Headline speakers to be announced soon.

What: The day will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, industry and government showcases, as well as rapid fire academic presentations to understand some great research projects in action across Australia, Indonesia and beyond. Networking sessions across lunch and afternoon tea (provided) will allow for opportunities to connect with fellow attendees. Key themes across the day will be Regenerative Futures and Climate Resilience, Climate-Smart Agriculture and Food Security, Urban–Rural Climate Linkages, and ASEAN Collaboration on Climate Adaptation.

Why: Participants will gain access to leading expertise, regional networks and opportunities to exchange knowledge, build strategic collaborations and engage in initiatives that drive regional impact.

ICCC 2025 is led by RMIT University’s School of Design and Social Context (DSC) with support from the RMIT Asia Hub

About ICCC

The ICCC was launched in 2016 by Universitas Sebelas Maret, Indonesia in collaboration with GIFU University, Japan to provide an annual platform for scientists, practitioners, and stakeholders from around the world to engage in discussions on current challenges and potential future threats posed by climate change. ICCC has been previously held in Indonesia, Thailand (2022), and Japan (2024) and this year, Australia was elected to host in a strategic step to expand international networks and strengthen academic collaboration between Indonesia, Australia, and other nations.
