(Reykjavík) Sex Worker Stories and Public Policy Conference
Description
Red Umbrella Iceland invites sex workers from around the world to help us understand why Decriminalization is the only model that reduces violence.
The first Sex Worker Stories and Public Policy conference in 2025 gathered sex worker advocates and experts from the Nordic region to discuss the impact of End Demand policies. The 2027 conference will focus on decriminalization.
Dame Catherine Healy from New Zealand, the first country to decriminalize sex work, will join sex worker rights advocates from Australia and Belgium to work with Icelandic sex workers to explore how decriminalization could work in the Nordic Region.
Red Umbrella Iceland has also invited neighboring sex worker advocates from Copenhagen, the UK, Sweden, Norway, and Europe to join this exciting conversation.
