Project Description: Auckland International Airport's Transport Hub development will transform how travellers arrive and depart from the international terminal, by creating a world-class transport centre at the front doorstep of the international terminal.
The development will consist of a four-storey car parking structure, including ground floor Pick Up/Drop Off (PUDO), retail and valet area; office space that is likely to house the Airport Operations Centre and airline offices; Sky Bridge connecting the car park to the international terminal at Level 1; and a significant hard and soft landscape works to create a pedestrian plaza around the carpark and adjacent hotels.
Built to double height, the ground floor of the four-storey building will accommodate buses, as well as cars, with the upper floors featuring smart car parking, electric vehicle charging stations and office spaces, all designed to meet the Gold ‘Parksmart’ green parking building standard. The adjoining office complex is clad with a high-performance unitised façade and will achieve a 5-star Green Star rating, whilst integrating different forms of transport to create more efficient and sustainable options we will significantly enhance the experience of passengers and visitors alike.
