Idaho Paint & Press with Lindsay Rae Art at the North End Wine Bar
Event description
Join us for a unique mixed media art experience that combines acrylic painting with a pressed flower bar! Each participant will receive a 6x6in wooden canvas with an Idaho stencil, which they can paint in their preferred color. In the second half of the class, they'll use a selection of pressed flowers to decorate their Idaho masterpiece.
The first glass of wine will be included along with charcuterie-style snacks from the Boise Co-op Deli. Additional wine may be purchased.

Extra:
For an additional $10, the instructor can seal your design with a resin layer, but the art is perfectly fine without it too. This payment (cash or Venmo preferred) is made directly to the instructor at the time of the class and takes one week before it is ready for pickup at the North End Wine Bar.
About the Instructor:
"My name is Lindsay, the artist behind Lindsay Rae Art. Ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil, creating has been my primary passion in life. It is my therapy. My version of story-telling. And most recently, it has become the foundation of my community building. After graduating from the University of Idaho with a degree in International Studies and French, I moved to Washington DC to chase after my dreams of working in the international development sector. It was a great 5 years, but something was missing. So when the pandemic hit, I packed up my things, drove across the country with my younger sister, and moved back home to Idaho to pursue art full-time. I have never been happier. As a mixed media artist, I use wood, acrylic paint, pressed flowers, and resin to create 2D mixed media art that has the feel of 3D mixed media. I always encourage viewers to experience my artwork through their hands, just as much as they do through their eyes. Offering classes lets me share my passion for dried flowers with others while helping people to tap into their own creativity."
