But…how can you validate that ‘idea’ from initial concept to the potential of an IPO. Fishburners, in partnership with Singtel Innov8 presents; Ideas to IPO’s: An investment Lens on Validation.

Presented by Abhay Seth, Director of Singtel Innov8 and Liam Carroll, Partnership and Innovation Analyst, the key message is that ‘Great ideas need landing gear as well as wings’. Through leveraging experience of running a start-up, evaluating start-ups in Australia for the last three years and having an entrepreneurial spirit, the Singtel Innov8 team aim to provide an insight into the dealings of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) and the most effective ways to validate a business idea!

The workshop is broken into two clear components:

Firstly, the workshop will provide a breakdown of how to get customer validation, outline product timing, and ensure you are finding the correct product-market fit through valid hypothesis testing.

Section 2 of the workshop will highlight how to pitch to an investor, techniques for establishing corporate partnerships and both the investment and partnership stages Singtel Innov8 uses. Thus ensuring there is a clear path from ‘Idea to IPO’!

About the Speaker

Abhay Seth has been leading Singtel Innov8’s activities in Australia since August 2016, coordinating Singtel Innov8’s business development activities and engagements with the local Australian startup ecosystem to build awareness and partnership opportunities for Singtel Innov8.

Abhay has gained many years of experience within the technology and telecoms industries, having held senior leadership roles in South East Asia and Australia in Sales, Marketing and Customer Service, and was responsible for launching and managing telco country operations in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka for Airtel.

He holds a degree in Advanced Business Management and has been certified by Harvard for completing their Strategy in Action program. In his spare time, Abhay is an avid Formula One and football fan who, since relocating to Australia, loves spending family time on the beach.
