Presented by Darebin Arts as part of the inSITU Workshop Series

Even the best writers sometimes find themselves stuck for ideas. In this workshop, participants will practice techniques including automatic writing, cento collage and examinations of the mundane to find compelling and unexpected subject matter lurking at the edges of their own brains. From there, we will consider how to extend these short exercises into longer, more polished pieces of work—methods for developing voice, adding detail and amplifying substance, as well as techniques in editing—figuring out what to hone, what to cut, and what to restructure.

If you require Auslan Interpretation, please send us an email at writingprojects@darebin.vic.gov.au.

This workshop has booked out. Please follow the ‘Register now’ link and join the waitlist. If a ticket becomes available, it will be offered to individuals on the waitlist, in order. If not claimed within 30 minutes the ticket will be offered to the next person on the list, and so on, in 30 minute increments.
