Castlemaine Idyll 2024

Castlemaine Idyll is Castlemaine's annual talent contest. 

Local singers. Live band. Famous judges. A family inclusive event. Food. Bar. Plus fun & talent for miles...

Castlemaine Idyll 2024 will take place at Lot19 in Castlemaine on Saturday 23rd of March.

This annual event is like a cross between a reality tv show, your high school eisteddfod, and the best karaoke night of your life.  Local hopefuls apply to sing a song in front of the crowd, but unlike a shoddy karaoke bar in the city, these crooners will be backed by a professional band with a killer horn section and sensational backing singers.  

This year’s event will feature 30 live performances, an extended running time (after-show DJ's & dancing, anyone?!), guest judges, hot outfits, great catering and perfect weather (we have our fingers and toes crossed). We're also introducing KIDS KARAOKE on the small stage from 1pm (details on how to register coming soon).

Castlemaine Idyll is an uplifting, collaborative community event which brings joy and connection to a wide cross section of our community. The event is also supported by a whole host of other community organisations and local businesses - we thank them all for their support. 

No BYO, no pets, no idiots.
