The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s largest technical professional organization, dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. Founded in 1893 in the USA, IEEE has grown into a global community of over 460,000 members. Among its ten regions, Region 10 (Asia-Pacific) is the most populous, with 161,371 members, and hosts three prestigious annual conferences: the Humanitarian Technology Conference, the Region 10 Conference, and the Region 10 Symposium.
In 2025, IEEE New Zealand South Section is proud to welcome the IEEE Region 10 Symposium to the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, offering an exciting platform to explore emerging technological innovations. Under the theme "Innovations in Technology: Shaping the Future," the symposium will feature eight thematic tracks, covering cutting-edge topics such as nanotechnology, power systems, aerospace advancements, artificial intelligence, climate change, and professional development opportunities for students and young professionals.
