Event description

The multi-award-winning community art project If fabrics could speak... continues during this month long residency.

Come and be a part of this evolving audio-described exhibition.

I ask 'If your fabrics could speak, what stories would they tell? Memories of making, family or culture?'

I invite you to share your treasured fabrics stories in one-on-one sessions. I’ll photograph your fabric and record your story to share in an exhibition evolving in real-time at The Cube, Ngutungka West Lakes.

Let's celebrate our creative community together.

Book a free one-on-one session with me and share your textile tales.

Please contact me directly at www.cathrinefitz-gerald.com if there is no session time that suits you, or if you have special access requirements and we will compare diaries and options. English as a second language and Auslan interpreted sessions can be arranged. Yes, you can bring your mum, sister, child, creative buddy or special other with you to your session. There is no need to book extra tickets for them, but please let me know via my website.

I'll be on site Wednesdays to Saturdays March 5-29th 10am-3pm painting, chatting and collecting stories.

You can independently explore the audio-described exhibition of previous participants' stories and paintings of my memories of my dressmaker mother any day without booking.

Ngutungka is open Mon-Fri 9.30am-5pm Saturdays 10am-4pm and Sundays 12-4pm
