Daily IFS meditations

Hearing the theory is one thing. Experiencing it is another.
Throughout the two days, several IFS meditations will give you a direct experience of some of the topics covered in the lectures.

Three live IFS demonstrations

Oliver will demonstrate the IFS process with a volunteer from the
workshop participants once a day. The demonstrations will last 60 - 90 minutes, followed by a debrief with the volunteer and a Q and A.

Practicing IFS Psychotherapy

Participants will be given the time and space to practice the IFS 6
F’s process of working with protective parts, twice during the workshop. This will be a real-play with each participant pairing up with another participant and taking on the role of client and therapist. If there is an uneven number of participants, one group will have three participants and rotate through the roles of client, therapist, and observer.

What are past participants saying?

“I found the IFS Advanced Experiential Workshop with Oliver to be extremely beneficial on both a professional and personal level. Oliver maintained a gentle pace for the small group yet provided ample opportunity to engage in, experience, and appreciate the IFS process.”

- Linda Tanner, Clinical Psychologist - September 2024

“I found this training transformational, both personally and professionally. The safety, wisdom and acceptance Oliver provided allowed me to engage and experience a new sense of hope and confidence in helping to bring healing to myself and others.”

- Advanced Workshop Participant - September 2024

“Following the training, I felt so much more prepared to lead clients through getting to know and release their own legacy burdens. I loved the way there was lots of time allocated for experiential learning using demos and our own practice. that really allowed me to get a felt sense of what it’s like to put the concepts into practice. Oliver always creates a beautifully welcoming and open space and invites curiosity and self-awareness of our own parts. This created a really safe feeling for me which is so important when using IFS because it’s trauma work. I am so grateful to have found Oliver and his professional offerings as they have been such a catalyst of growth for me personally and professionally. It was a very robust follow-up to the Introductory training I did with Oliver in 2023. Thank you, Oliver.”

- Yara Heary, Psychologist - September 2024

“Deeply touched, a profound training and experience. Oliver's deep passion for IFS is truly infectious, the most profound workshop I have ever attended.”

- Stuart Hight, Counsellor - September 2024

“The IFS Advanced Experiential workshop provided a profound depth of knowledge and practice that built on the introductory workshop. The blend of lectures, live demonstrations, and practical learning opportunities made it feel so easy for participants to understand themselves and others within the IFS framework and to embody the model’s processes of compassionate curiosity toward psychological pain. The learning experience was supported by the presence of other trained therapists seeking to also develop their understanding of this powerful and gentle model. Oliver Brooke delivered the IFS material in a straightforward way that connected well with attendees. I have come away from this training with a robust ability to work even more effectively using an IFS-informed approach in a brief intervention sub-acute community mental health context.”

- Rachael, Mental Health Clinician - September 2024
