Event description

Multicultural Women's Alliance has the pleasure of inviting you to an Iftar dinner as we celebrate women this International Women’s Day and Cultural Diversity Week with an evening of connection, learning and celebration.

The Multicultural Women’s Alliance Against Family Violence is an advocacy coalition working to ensure culturally responsive and appropriate domestic violence services are accessible for Multicultural Communities. Our members include multicultural community leaders and representatives working across the family and domestic violence sector, united by a shared mission to create meaningful change. Read what we do: https://mwaafv.org.au/.

We are honored to feature our guest speaker, Dr. Balawyn Jones from La Trobe Law School, a distinguished academic specializing in domestic and family violence and the implementation of women’s rights at the intersection of gender, religion, and law.

A special thanks to our sponsors Polaron Connect and the Australian Multicultural Community Services.
