Igniting a Humane AI Business Culture
Designed for people who hope to influence the creation and adoption of AI for use in commercial, govt and civil society organisations, and who are looking for new mental models to articulate what's required for the safe and responsible use of AI, this event will be an immersive, collaborative experience for both mind and senses.
Co-hosted by technology ethics social venture, Tethix, and Salesforce’s strategic innovation team, Ignite, and taking place in the newly-opened Salesforce Tower in Circular Quay.
What to expect
Experience a three-part elemental ethics adventure with thought-provoking 'Spark Talks' and discussions in three distinct rooms, each one themed after a breathtaking national park in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
EARTH - Fiordland National Park Room
- Focus: leveraging stories to shape AI's impact on people and the planet.
- Central question: "How do we support the (un)telling of stories that enhance beneficial outcomes for people and the planet?"
- Objective: to connect with the power of storytelling, in both it's creation and decomposing can be better used to shape development and use towards positive and net regenerative outcomes for humanity and the environment.
AIR - Kakadu National Park Room
- Focus: building shared meaning and understanding the different roles Generative AI might play in learning organisations
- Central question: "How do we improve communication flows and nurture a culture of learning that can adapt to the opportunities and challenges of Gen AI?"
- Objective: encourage participants to explore the ways in which these technologies can be woven into organisational learning, cultivating a culture that continually adapts and evolves in response to socio-technical advancements.
WATER - Great Barrier Reef Room
- Focus: reflecting on inclusive, morally engaging, participatory, and adaptive policy environments for Generative AI
- Central question: "How do we nurture conditions for a humane AI business culture where inclusive and caring policies are co-created?"
- Objective: to initiate discussions and reflection on conditions needed to develop flexible policies that respond to the dynamic nature of generative AI, ensuring inclusive and morally engaging governance structures.
Dynamic Event Flow:
- Intimate Groups: Engage in intimate groups of 10–12 people, ensuring a focused and richer experience.
- Rotating Sessions: After each 30-minute ignition session, enjoy a 10-minute interlude to mingle, enjoy refreshments, and connect with attendees from other groups before moving to the next themed room.
- Continual Engagement: This rotation ensures a continual engagement with new ideas and perspectives, enhancing overall learning, cross pollination and sense-making experience.
