This intensive 2-day program, hosted in Orlando, Florida, combines classroom instruction with extensive hands-on practice to master the identification, cleaning, restoration, and maintenance of stone floors, masonry surfaces, ceramic tile, grout, natural stone, cultured stone, clay, and concrete.

Day 1: Foundations of SMT Care

  • 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Check-in & Welcome – Overview of stone/masonry/tile challenges with expert insights.

  • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Material Science & Damage Prevention – Identify surfaces and risks.

  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch Break (provided by GEM Supply).

  • 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Hands-On Basics – Safe cleaning methods for grout, tile, and concrete using premium products.

Day 2: Advanced Applications & Certification

  • 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Check-in & Review.

  • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Restoration Techniques – Advanced tools for natural/cultured stone and masonry.

  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch Break (provided by GEM Supply).

IICRC Certification

To earn certification, students must pass the certification exam, which is available for an additional fee paid directly to the IICRC.

Students must visit www.iicrc.org to register online and submit the exam fee before or on the first day of class.

Please keep a copy of your payment confirmation or have the means to log in at the end of the scheduled class to report to the instructor once exam registration is complete. You will need to provide proof of registration to complete the exam on the last day of training. Please get in touch with the IICRC with any questions regarding this process.
