Six troubled teenagers join the crew of an old pearling lugger and set sail for the Bass Strait Islands. Filmed entirely in the wilderness of Bass Strait in 1997 and released world wide as a 5 part TV series. In 2026 If It Doesn’t Kill You has been restored and re-formatted. An unflinching look at young people struggling with addiction, abuse and abandonment. A heartfelt journey of the soul through a stormy wilderness.
