Illawarra Folk Club presents A Feast of Music at the Passionate Palate, Kanahooka
Event description
We are again heading to the Passionate Palate Café at Kanahooka with more of the best singers and songwriters that the Illawarra has. Each will sing 3 or 4 of their own compositions and perhaps one cover. Not only that, but we will be enjoying a meal and a drink from the Passionate Palate's very good menu. AND THE PASSIONATE PALATE IS LICENSED so it will be a great social afternoon.
Russell Churcher: renowned throughout Australia for his incisive and often very funny songs. He is the non-saint member of Rusty and the Saint! Storytelling of the highest order, delivered with exceptional musicianship.
Rare Birdz: RARE BIRDZ are Rachael and Dezley, beautiful songwriters and musicians ( but not good spellers - though they claim poetic licence) They regularly play for the Illawarra Folk Club in the Wollongong Mall,
The Other Noonans: Are a married Comedic duo with deep environmental /social justice learnings. Wonderful songwriters, with amazing harmonies. Entertainment at it's best.
Neil Rowsell: The leader of the busy Chord-eaux band together with ace Piano player Sylvia McMullen, playing your favorite folk tunes.
Emma & Kenny : Emma Hannah is accompanied by her husband, Ken Kitching.
Emma Hannah's busy career in the music industry began in her teenage years. After early classical training, she became very involved in the flourishing Folk movement, and has been a professional singer and musician from that time on.
Internationally acclaimed pedal steel and dobro player Kenny Kitching, is a respected veteran of the Pedal steel guitar, the Dobro guitar as well as Hawaiian lap steel guitar. He is well renowned and respected in Australia and the USA for his artistry in these fields.
Paul Spencer : Relentless and cheerful folk satire. Paul Spencer writes quirky, comic political folk songs to entertain the activist in you or re-energise the jaded cynic. Paul's songs touch the heart. Whether they are cheeky political jibes and satire, strong social justice messages, or touching personal insights,his lyrics contain an authenticity that reaches out to the audience.

Sit on the deck or inside and enjoy the wonderful food from a family owned business. They really are passionate about the food they serve at Passionate Platter. The cafe is licensed, so wine and a variety of craft beer are also available.
This is a package deal with a meal requirement which includes main course and tea/coffee or cold soft drink.
TICKET $43/$48 which includes CONCERT ENTRY ( $15/$20 ) and Meal of choice ($28)
