Illawarra Folk Club presents Pat Drummond and Marcus Sturrock in Concert

"Pat Drummond and Marcus Sturrock join together to present a night of joyous storytelling music.

Pat Drummond:

Pat Drummond is an Australian Singer / Songwriter. His highly original music crosses the genres of country, folk and rock and roll and his musical career spans four decades. Based at Leura in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, in the State of New South Wales, his style is a cross between songwriting and journalism. His well documented songs about real people and places are drawn from interviews gathered on his erratic tours across Australia and present a composite picture of that country and her people.

Marcus Sturrock:

Marcus is not merely an adept guitarist; he has the happy ability to play music rather than just notes, and to infect the audience with his own joy.

"Marcus's music is an extension of his heart and soul and I dare say it's impossible to not feel that when Marcus plays. And for that I am eternally grateful. The lessons, the time, the inspiration but most importantly, Marcus shows us his heart each and every time." Guy Ghouse, AM, Best Guitarist Award WA Music Awards, Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse six times winners,Indigenous Act of the Year, WA Music Industry Awards, Historic commissioning by WA Opera to compose and perform.
