Description

The special project team at Puke Ariki will share insights from their work on the Feaver Collection of 10,000 glass plate negatives from Ōpunakē.

From tractors and prize cows to birthday cakes and wedding parties, this collection is a real slice of rural life between the 1890s and 1940s.

A diverse range of locals are represented in this delightful and comprehensive collection. Join us for the highlights we have discovered so far on our Lotteries-funded cataloguing and digitisation project.

Date: 28 October

Time: 4:00pm

Location: Puke Ariki Theatre (off main foyer), Puke Ariki Museum, Ngāmotu/New Plymouth.

Free event.

Registration and tickets not required - just turn up on the day.

This event is part of Taranaki Heritage Month 2026 (2 October to 6 November 2026). A full programme of events can be found on Heritage Taranaki's website at the following link: https://heritagetaranaki.com/heritage-month-2026-programme-of-events-registration/
