Imago Conference: Work

Imago Spiritual Formation Conference

We are a learning community of maturing disciples. Through teaching, worship, discussion, and fellowship, we focus on the pivotal role of the Spirit in our transformation, guiding us to become more like Christ.

Our theme this year is Work

How are we formed into Christlikeness by, and for, the workplace? What business does God's kingdom have with the world's business?

Our work or our vocation makes up so much of our lives. Whether you're starting or established in your career, balancing family with work or figuring out where to focus your energy, we all have roles that dominate our time, energy, and mind.

Work is our most culturally dominant teacher. In a world where so many are searching for how to live, we're asking how Jesus would show up if he were in our workplaces. How would he be if he were sitting at our desk, performing our role? This year, we want to explore spiritual formation in our vocational lives. From Monday through Friday. To equip this community to live faithfully to Jesus daily.

We have a vision for the Church to be the epicentre of its communities. To demonstrate and teach, or, as Paul challenges, ‘live such good lives’ in whatever we do throughout the week. The challenge is that this starts outside of our buildings, demonstrating day-to-day full living, because it is our workplaces and homes that are our ministries.

Spiritual Formation is not about more time-taxing tasks in already busy days, but instead reordering the things of life we already do, to allow us to ‘remain with Him.’ Join us on November 21st.
