IMAS Taroona Transformation: Community Drop In
Event description
The University of Tasmania is transforming the existing Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) site at Taroona into a world-class fisheries and aquaculture research and teaching precinct.
Work is underway from April onwardsΒ to build new specialised facilities includingΒ teaching and research labs supporting students and scientistsΒ to protect threatened species, solve local environmental issuesΒ and ensure sustainable wild capture fisheries and aquacultureΒ industries.
Join a community drop-in session with the project team to check out the plans, construction timelines and chat throughΒ what will be happening around the site.
