Immersia 2024: Pollen Immersia Day
Event description
Come and experience a day dedicated to pollen at ANU, with Pollen Immersia, as part of the ANU School of Culture, History & Language’s annual flagship festival Immersia.
Come along to one of our sessions held during the day at the Ground Floor Laboratory, South Wing:
Morning session: 10am to 11:30am
Afternoon session: 2pm to 3:30pm
Hear from Australia’s leading experts on pollen and learn how we go about informing the public about the daily pollen count and the risks of hay fever and asthma in Canberra.
Each session will be filled with brief presentations on the latest research into pollen and allergy, a demonstration of how we count the daily pollen count for Canberra, 3D pollen printing, fun games that help you to understand the science behind pollination and pollen dispersal from the plant to your nose, and a chance to ask questions (and hopefully get some answers) from the leading pollen experts in Australia.
Come along and be immersed in the fun world of pollen!
