Come to work. Stay to learn. Share what you know. Meet people creating impact.
Impact Story Lab is not just a place to bring your laptop and get some work done. It’s a place where impact creators, storytellers, community builders, organisations and curious people come together to exchange knowledge, share skills and ideas, and help each other grow.
Throughout the day, people from within and beyond our community will share their knowledge, skills and experiences through workshops, conversations, creative activities, demonstrations and skill-sharing sessions.
You can come for the whole day, settle in and co-work between sessions, or join us for the Knowledge Exchange sessions that interest you.
Have something you’d love to share with the community? You’ll also have the opportunity to pitch an idea for a future Knowledge Exchange session at the Lab.

💻 From 9 am | Co-Working + Open House
Settle in and work from the Lab, meet the community, explore the space and discover what’s possible here.
Throughout the day, you can cowork, connect with others, tour the Lab and chat with our team about events, workshops, podcasting, production and partnerships.

🌿 9:20 - 9:50 am | Deepen Your (Co-)Working Day & Make It More Playful
What if your working day could feel a little more playful, connected and energising?
Join Evelina Lekešiūtė from Outdoor Office Day Australia for a playful start to the day, with simple experiments and invitations to try as you work, connect and move through the Lab.
Then, come back together from 3:20-3:50 pm to share what you noticed and reflect on what you might take into your everyday working life.

💻 10:00 - 11:00 am | For-Good Organisations Digital Ecosystems Workshop
A Knowledge Exchange workshop exploring digital ecosystems for organisations working for good.
Come join Jeremy Thomas from Environmentarian to learn, exchange ideas and think about how digital tools, platforms and systems can better support your organisation and its impact.
📝 10:00 - 11:00 am | Future Makers Studio
Join Hana Dinh from Neither Horizon for an interactive workshop exploring framework for understanding why transformative change can get absorbed by the very systems it aims to change and what we can do about it.
For anyone working on complex challenges, from climate change and circular economies to AI and capitalism.
🤝 11:00 am - 12:00 pm | Alternatives to Violence Project
A taster of an experiential workshop that builds community and teaches conflict transformation skills.
Experience an introduction to the Alternatives to Violence Project by Shanaz Razeen and explore practical, participatory approaches to communication, community building and transforming conflict.
This is an experiential session, so come ready to participate, connect and learn together.

Time to put the laptops away and gather around the table.
Lunch is an important part of our Co-Working + Knowledge Exchange Days — a chance to meet the people you've been learning and working alongside, continue conversations from the morning and make new connections.

What if you could step inside your impact story instead of simply telling it?
Join Dimitrios Papalexis from Soulgen for a playful, experiential storytelling workshop using psychodrama, movement and instant dramatisation to explore stories in new ways.
No acting experience needed — bring a story or simply come curious.
✨ 2:00 - 3:00 pm | How To Build A Monthly Membership Members Don 't Want To Leave
Abbey Pantano from The Impact Collab will share her 3G Method: Gate, Glue and Growth, a practical framework for building a thriving membership community. You’ll explore how to welcome the right people, create stronger connections between members, encourage meaningful participation, and build a community people genuinely want to stay part of.
🎙️3 - 4PM | Info Session: Audio & Video Podcast Program
Thinking about starting a podcast series but not sure where to start? Drop into this short info session to hear how the Audio & Video Podcast Program works, from planning your first episode through to recording it at the Lab. We'll also take you through our new podcast studio so that you can see the space and setup for yourself.

💡4-5 pm | Knowledge Exchange Pitch Hour
Have an idea, skill, experience or perspective you’d love to share with the Impact Story Lab community? This is your chance to put it forward.
Pitch an idea for a workshop, conversation, skill-share, creative activity or another kind of knowledge exchange. Selected ideas will be invited to become a one-hour session at a future Co-Working Day, giving you the space to share what you know and create something valuable with the community.
We’re looking for ideas that align with the Impact Story Lab ethos, contributing to stories, ideas, practices or conversations that help create a better world.

💃 5:15–6:15 pm | Dance the Day Away
After a day of working, thinking, sharing and learning, we're getting out of our heads and into our bodies.
Join Jasper Vallance from Xstatic Events for an end-of-day dance experience designed to help us let loose, have fun and learn how to dance even when we're afraid to.
No dance experience needed. No need to know the moves.
It's simply an invitation for everyone to come together, move, connect and finish the day on a high.
