Community-Building to Conflict Transformation: An Experiential Taster
Free Taster in Experiential Group Work
Learn about yourself, from yourself and others, while others learn from you and each other.
A free taster in an experiential workshop that builds community in the group and teaches conflict transformational skills.
Conflict and community are experiences that are felt in our bodies, in relationship with others. So learning in these areas is most effective through the felt sense of experience and relationship.
This taster is based on the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) workshop series that emerged out of Greenhaven Prison in New York. Older prisoners were seeing an increased rate of recidivism amongst younger prisoners and in collaboration with Quakers and trainers involved with the Civil Rights Movement, developed the AVP workshops.
