Impact100 Sydney invites you to our 2025 campaign launch, where we'll explore Sydney's most pressing social challenges and how collective giving can create meaningful change. This pivotal event will guide our donor community's focus for the year ahead.
Join us for a dynamic discussion led by Matt Levinson, Head of Corporate Affairs and Cultural Policy Lead at the Committee for Sydney.
Our panel will tackle the big questions facing our city: What are Sydney's most pressing social challenges? If you had $100,000 to invest in Sydney's future, where would it make the greatest impact? How can collective giving catalyze meaningful change in our communities?
Our expert panel brings unique perspectives on community transformation:
- Rabbi Kastel OAM is the founder of Together For Humanity. He leads an inclusive educational organisation working with school communities to combat prejudice and advance belonging and inclusion across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and South Australia in partnership with The Abraham Institute. Made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2020 for his work on interfaith and intercultural understanding, Rabbi Kastel remains a Hasidic Rabbi teaching bible study at Chabad House North Shore while dedicating himself to fostering interfaith cooperation and bringing positive experiences of diversity to young Australians.
- Allienttia Weldon-Oti, a proud Wayilwan, Gomeori, and Wiradjuri woman, leads the First Nations Access program at the Welfare Rights Centre. Combining lived experience with legal expertise, she works to improve accessibility and advocate for First Nations peoples' rights, addressing systemic barriers faced by Aboriginal communities.
- Jo Taranto leads Good for the Hood, a social enterprise dedicated to sustainability and community education. Her work explores human connection to places, ideas and each other through behavioral insights and nature-based research. As co-host of Channel 10's Planet Shapers and an accomplished presenter, Jo demonstrates how understanding human behavior can transform relationships and drive sustainable business practices.
- Renée Wirth, Executive Director of Housing Strategy and Policy at Homes NSW, brings 25 years of transformative experience in social and affordable housing. Her comprehensive career spans government, not-for-profit, and consulting sectors across Sydney and London. As former executive lead at St George Community Housing, she drove service delivery for 7,000 social and affordable housing tenants, demonstrating how strategic housing initiatives can create sustainable community outcomes.
We extend our gratitude to Gilbert and Tobin for hosting this important conversation.
