Creating impact from research is an ultra-marathon, not a sprint. It’s more important than ever to build a strong community of impact-focused Australian researchers who will inspire, support, mentor and encourage one another on their journeys to unlock the potential of their amazing research to make a difference in the world.

Cruxes Innovation is very excited to announce a new series of events called Impact Pathfinders, where the community of impact-focused researchers will gather to hear from leaders in the field.

The Impact Pathfinders events are designed to de-mystify the pathways and processes researchers take to create impact and share experiences of researchers who have created real-world impact through their research, and are continuing to do so.

Our first event will be held on Thursday 30th September, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm AEST.

The speaker at our first event will be Prof. Andre Luiten from the University of Adelaide, co-founder of QuantX Labs. Join us to hear Andre share what he has learned about creating impact from research.

Andre's talk will include his insights on these topics:

What was the key to finding and engaging the first industry collaborator for our research? How long did this take?
What was the key to aligning our impact goals with those of the university (IP owner)? How long did this take?

We plan to run these events regularly, with a different guest speaker each time. The events will be one-hour webinars, with this format:

- Our guest speaker will share their stories and what they have learned (20 minutes)

- Followed by 20 minutes of Q&A

- The final 20 minutes will be informal networking in breakout rooms.

Who is this event for?

The Impact Pathfinders events are for Australian researchers in any field who want to make a difference in the world with their research. They are particularly aimed at mid-career researchers with an established place in the research community who are thinking about focusing the remainder of their careers on generating impact.

We will be limiting the number of participants to this event to maintain the quality of engagement for those involved. So get in now to save yourself a spot!
