Join us at the Coal Loader for a six-part hands-on workshop series with Sydney Organic Gardens. Across six Saturdays from July 2026 to December 2026, you’ll learn practical skills to grow food at home, no matter your space.

Come along to one, or the whole series, and get inspired to make your garden more productive, sustainable and full of life.

This month is Composting:

Turn your kitchen and garden scraps into beautiful rich soil food. Learn the tips and tricks of how to manage your home compost system.

At this workshop you will learn:

· The essential basics of composting

· A range of different composting methods

· How to create high quality soil food full of diverse microbes

· How to use the finished product in your garden to best effect

It’s a hands-on workshop including making a compost heap, and learning as you go, with plenty of time for you to ask questions. Please bring some kitchen and/or garden scraps.

Booking essential – limited to 20 places for each group only.

Cost: $0 to take part however ONLY book if you can make it.

What to bring: BYO keep cup and reusable water bottle etc. Closed-toed shoes. Sun protection.

In the case of wet weather, indoor activities may replace the outdoor elements.
