This workshop will teach you how to apply improvisational theater techniques to enhance your oral communication abilities. Participants learn to think on their feet, adapt to unexpected questions, and engage audiences with confidence and authenticity.

Peter Felsman, Ph.D., LMSW, is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Oakland University. His interdisciplinary research explores the intersection of mental health, communication, and the arts. He earned his Ph.D. in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Michigan, where his dissertation examined improvisational theater as a non-stigmatizing mental health intervention. He later completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stony Brook University in Clinical Psychology and Science Communication. Dr. Felsman is a licensed social worker in New York and Michigan, where he now maintains a part-time practice. Dr. Felsman is also an active scholar, publishing research on mindfulness, improvisation, and the arts as tools for promoting psychological well-being.
