With easy, short-form games and playful exercises - you’re invited to explore the art of improvised comedy and drama in a small, cosy group in Ilkley.

Improvisation is the art of accepting ‘what is’ with playful, heartfelt curiosity in the here-and-now. It’s about making things up as you go along, collaboratively. It can involve movement, games, stories, dialogue, reactions, characters and plot.

Hosted by a professional facilitator, these regular monthly improv classes are purposefully gentle with a more reflective and mindful approach to improvisation. That means extra care, clarity and support through every activity, with opportunities to learn, discuss and reflect - as well as laugh.

This workshop lasts approximately 90 minutes and spaces are deliberately limited to 12 people to keep things cosy and comfortable.

The workshop will be a mix of whole group, pair and small group exercises. These will be seated or standing, with occasional gentle movement and plenty of sharing and reflection.
