Event description

SIRF IMRt Common Interest Work Group (CIWG) - Online Event via Zoom

Machine Installation and Commissioning for Reliability

Reliable machine operation starts with correct machine installation!

In fact, it starts right back at the conception and design stage. Too often the focus on reliability and performance occurs once the machine or equipment is operational and in production mode. Whilst this is imperative to ensure reliability and optimised processes, the many stages prior to operation greatly influence how a machine will perform and its reliability throughout its service life!

Loris Bragagnolo - National Product Manager, GVS Reliability Products

Currently the National Product Manager- Easy-Laser Systems for GVS Reliability Products, Loris has extensive experience as a mechanical engineer with a reliability focus over the past 16 years, providing engineering services to industries requiring condition monitoring, equipment refurbishment & repair, and optimising reliability and machine performance. Prior to this, he was involved with the automotive industry (when we had one!) working for various tier one manufacturers and suppliers.

In this CIWG we will discuss what is required for optimal machine installation for operational reliability. Different aspects of the installation and commissioning process will have long term effects on reliability. Considerations like base design, flatness, and level; laser shaft alignment principles, procedures, and best practice; and understanding dynamic & static forces like pipe strain, thermal growth, and more!

Please join us to see how your company can ensure that your equipment is set up correctly so as to improve the reliability of the equipment. You can network with your peers, contribute to discussion and Q&A.

We look forward to seeing you there.
