In-Conversation: Baldessin Studio Amanda Grant with Tess Edwards Baldessin

Discover the heart of innovative printmaking in the St Andrews bush. Baldessin Studio, an important centre for Australian printmakers, is a not for profit printmaking studio that operates out of an original bluestone building hand-built in the 1970s by George and Tess Baldessin. Now in its 25th year Baldessin Studio is a nationally recognised printmaking studio, hosting a yearly program of workshops, masterclasses, fellowships, residencies and events.

Amanda Grant is the Lead Artist for the Women of Montsalvat project. Known predominantly for her work on the Blacksmiths' Tree in Strathewen and the Homefront Sculptures in Greensborough War Memorial Park, Amanda is a Designer, Sculptor and Creative Director managing complex art projects.

Tess Edwards Baldessin is an artist of Baldessin Studio, which she established in 2001 in the memory of her late husband George Baldessin (1939-1978) the renowned printmaker and sculptor. Tess oversees the operations of the studio and remains the principal advocate for the studio’s artists and their creative endeavours.
